bwin Introduces Poker Online in Italy

bwin is now offering their Italian clients poker online on its Italian website www.bwin.it. This also marks the launch for the new P5 Poker Engine developed by Ongame Network.

The new client will dramatically improve the company's online poker platform and change the way poker online is played, experience and perceived. It will also improve the capacity the platform has up to 200,000 concurrent users.

"P5 represent a substantial investment and was developed in-house. We decided to go to the very heart of our game engine and rethink every line of code. P5 represents a shift in mentality as much as it represents a shift in technology," says Norbert Teufelberger, Co-CEO of bwin.

Manfred Bodner - Co-CEO is certain the Italian users will welcome the new product, enabled thanks to the recent change in Italian laws that permit online poker.
