Celebrity poker tournament

Next week will see some of the world’s top poker players descend to the Philippines to take part in the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation’s first ever World Celebrity Poker Tournament.

The tournament will be held in Casino Filipino in Cebu, the nation’s second largest city with the likes of Doyle Brunson and his son Todd in attendance.

Wally Sombero, the tournament organizer and a top poker player in the Philippines added that alongside the Brunson pair will be 10 other world-class poker players.

Increasing the celebrity status of the event was the announcement that Jack Binion, of World Series of Poker fame, will be hosting the event.

Following the tournament will be a cash game, the “Challenge of Champions”.
